| CVE-2018-6693 | 2 Linux, Mcafee | 3 Linux Kernel, Endpoint Security For Linux Threat Prevention, Endpoint Security Linux Threat Prevention | 2024-11-21 | 3.3 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| An unprivileged user can delete arbitrary files on a Linux system running ENSLTP 10.5.1, 10.5.0, and 10.2.3 Hotfix 1246778 and earlier. By exploiting a time of check to time of use (TOCTOU) race condition during a specific scanning sequence, the unprivileged user is able to perform a privilege escalation to delete arbitrary files. | |||||
| CVE-2018-1121 | 1 Procps Project | 1 Procps | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 3.9 LOW |
| procps-ng, procps is vulnerable to a process hiding through race condition. Since the kernel's proc_pid_readdir() returns PID entries in ascending numeric order, a process occupying a high PID can use inotify events to determine when the process list is being scanned, and fork/exec to obtain a lower PID, thus avoiding enumeration. An unprivileged attacker can hide a process from procps-ng's utilities by exploiting a race condition in reading /proc/PID entries. This vulnerability affects procps and procps-ng up to version 3.3.15, newer versions might be affected also. | |||||
| CVE-2018-16872 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in qemu Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). The code opening files in usb_mtp_get_object and usb_mtp_get_partial_object and directories in usb_mtp_object_readdir doesn't consider that the underlying filesystem may have changed since the time lstat(2) was called in usb_mtp_object_alloc, a classical TOCTTOU problem. An attacker with write access to the host filesystem shared with a guest can use this property to navigate the host filesystem in the context of the QEMU process and read any file the QEMU process has access to. Access to the filesystem may be local or via a network share protocol such as CIFS. | |||||
| CVE-2018-0966 | 1 Microsoft | 2 Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 | 2024-11-21 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |

| CVE-2017-18869 | 1 Chownr Project | 1 Chownr | 2024-11-21 | 1.9 LOW | 2.5 LOW |
| A TOCTOU issue in the chownr package before 1.1.0 for Node.js 10.10 could allow a local attacker to trick it into descending into unintended directories via symlink attacks. | |||||
| CVE-2017-15404 | 1 Google | 1 Chrome | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| An ability to process crash dumps under root privileges and inappropriate symlinks handling could lead to a local privilege escalation in Crash Reporting in Google Chrome on Chrome OS prior to 61.0.3163.113 allowed a local attacker to perform privilege escalation via a crafted HTML page. | |||||

| CVE-2024-49768 | 1 Agendaless | 1 Waitress | 2024-11-07 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| Waitress is a Web Server Gateway Interface server for Python 2 and 3. A remote client may send a request that is exactly recv_bytes (defaults to 8192) long, followed by a secondary request using HTTP pipelining. When request lookahead is disabled (default) we won't read any more requests, and when the first request fails due to a parsing error, we simply close the connection. However when request lookahead is enabled, it is possible to process and receive the first request, start sending the error message back to the client while we read the next request and queue it. This will allow the secondary request to be serviced by the worker thread while the connection should be closed. Waitress 3.0.1 fixes the race condition. As a workaround, disable channel_request_lookahead, this is set to 0 by default disabling this feature. | |||||
