| CVE-2022-24806 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Net-snmp and 1 more | 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Net-snmp and 12 more | 2025-01-17 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| net-snmp provides various tools relating to the Simple Network Management Protocol. Prior to version 5.9.2, a user with read-write credentials can exploit an Improper Input Validation vulnerability when SETing malformed OIDs in master agent and subagent simultaneously. Version 5.9.2 contains a patch. Users should use strong SNMPv3 credentials and avoid sharing the credentials. Those who must use SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c should use a complex community string and enhance the protection by restricting access to a given IP address range. | |||||

| net-snmp provides various tools relating to the Simple Network Management Protocol. Prior to version 5.9.2, a buffer overflow in the handling of the `INDEX` of `NET-SNMP-VACM-MIB` can cause an out-of-bounds memory access. A user with read-only credentials can exploit the issue. Version 5.9.2 contains a patch. Users should use strong SNMPv3 credentials and avoid sharing the credentials. Those who must use SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c should use a complex community string and enhance the protection by restricting access to a given IP address range. | |||||
| CVE-2019-9514 | 13 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 10 more | 30 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 27 more | 2025-01-14 | 7.8 HIGH | 7.5 HIGH |
| Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a reset flood, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens a number of streams and sends an invalid request over each stream that should solicit a stream of RST_STREAM frames from the peer. Depending on how the peer queues the RST_STREAM frames, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18017 | 9 Arista, Canonical, Debian and 6 more | 29 Eos, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 26 more | 2025-01-03 | 10.0 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| The tcpmss_mangle_packet function in net/netfilter/xt_TCPMSS.c in the Linux kernel before 4.11, and 4.9.x before 4.9.36, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging the presence of xt_TCPMSS in an iptables action. | |||||
| CVE-2018-12121 | 2 Nodejs, Redhat | 8 Node.js, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 5 more | 2024-12-27 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| Node.js: All versions prior to Node.js 6.15.0, 8.14.0, 10.14.0 and 11.3.0: Denial of Service with large HTTP headers: By using a combination of many requests with maximum sized headers (almost 80 KB per connection), and carefully timed completion of the headers, it is possible to cause the HTTP server to abort from heap allocation failure. Attack potential is mitigated by the use of a load balancer or other proxy layer. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46846 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 5 more | 2024-12-18 | N/A | 9.3 CRITICAL |
| SQUID is vulnerable to HTTP request smuggling, caused by chunked decoder lenience, allows a remote attacker to perform Request/Response smuggling past firewall and frontend security systems. | |||||
| CVE-2024-2698 | 2 Freeipa, Redhat | 3 Freeipa, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus | 2024-11-24 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
| A vulnerability was found in FreeIPA in how the initial implementation of MS-SFU by MIT Kerberos was missing a condition for granting the "forwardable" flag on S4U2Self tickets. Fixing this mistake required adding a special case for the check_allowed_to_delegate() function: If the target service argument is NULL, then it means the KDC is probing for general constrained delegation rules and not checking a specific S4U2Proxy request. In FreeIPA 4.11.0, the behavior of ipadb_match_acl() was modified to match the changes from upstream MIT Kerberos 1.20. However, a mistake resulting in this mechanism applies in cases where the target service argument is set AND where it is unset. This results in S4U2Proxy requests being accepted regardless of whether or not there is a matching service delegation rule. | |||||
| CVE-2024-3183 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH |
| A vulnerability was found in FreeIPA in a way when a Kerberos TGS-REQ is encrypted using the client’s session key. This key is different for each new session, which protects it from brute force attacks. However, the ticket it contains is encrypted using the target principal key directly. For user principals, this key is a hash of a public per-principal randomly-generated salt and the user’s password. If a principal is compromised it means the attacker would be able to retrieve tickets encrypted to any principal, all of them being encrypted by their own key directly. By taking these tickets and salts offline, the attacker could run brute force attacks to find character strings able to decrypt tickets when combined to a principal salt (i.e. find the principal’s password). | |||||
| CVE-2023-6606 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in smbCalcSize in fs/smb/client/netmisc.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow a local attacker to crash the system or leak internal kernel information. | |||||
| CVE-2023-5633 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 22 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| The reference count changes made as part of the CVE-2023-33951 and CVE-2023-33952 fixes exposed a use-after-free flaw in the way memory objects were handled when they were being used to store a surface. When running inside a VMware guest with 3D acceleration enabled, a local, unprivileged user could potentially use this flaw to escalate their privileges. | |||||
| CVE-2023-5455 | 3 Fedoraproject, Freeipa, Redhat | 21 Fedora, Freeipa, Codeready Linux Builder and 18 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A Cross-site request forgery vulnerability exists in ipa/session/login_password in all supported versions of IPA. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the user into submitting a request that could perform actions as the user, resulting in a loss of confidentiality and system integrity. During community penetration testing it was found that for certain HTTP end-points FreeIPA does not ensure CSRF protection. Due to implementation details one cannot use this flaw for reflection of a cookie representing already logged-in user. An attacker would always have to go through a new authentication attempt. | |||||
| CVE-2023-4147 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Netfilter functionality when adding a rule with NFTA_RULE_CHAIN_ID. This flaw allows a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system. | |||||
| CVE-2023-4091 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Samba | 5 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A vulnerability was discovered in Samba, where the flaw allows SMB clients to truncate files, even with read-only permissions when the Samba VFS module "acl_xattr" is configured with "acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes". The SMB protocol allows opening files when the client requests read-only access but then implicitly truncates the opened file to 0 bytes if the client specifies a separate OVERWRITE create disposition request. The issue arises in configurations that bypass kernel file system permissions checks, relying solely on Samba's permissions. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46848 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux Server Aus and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 8.6 HIGH |
| Squid is vulnerable to Denial of Service, where a remote attacker can perform DoS by sending ftp:// URLs in HTTP Request messages or constructing ftp:// URLs from FTP Native input. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46847 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 8.6 HIGH |
| Squid is vulnerable to a Denial of Service, where a remote attacker can perform buffer overflow attack by writing up to 2 MB of arbitrary data to heap memory when Squid is configured to accept HTTP Digest Authentication. | |||||
| CVE-2023-42669 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Ibm Z Systems and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A vulnerability was found in Samba's "rpcecho" development server, a non-Windows RPC server used to test Samba's DCE/RPC stack elements. This vulnerability stems from an RPC function that can be blocked indefinitely. The issue arises because the "rpcecho" service operates with only one worker in the main RPC task, allowing calls to the "rpcecho" server to be blocked for a specified time, causing service disruptions. This disruption is triggered by a "sleep()" call in the "dcesrv_echo_TestSleep()" function under specific conditions. Authenticated users or attackers can exploit this vulnerability to make calls to the "rpcecho" server, requesting it to block for a specified duration, effectively disrupting most services and leading to a complete denial of service on the AD DC. The DoS affects all other services as "rpcecho" runs in the main RPC task. | |||||
| CVE-2023-3972 | 1 Redhat | 19 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide). | |||||
| CVE-2023-3961 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Samba | 5 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| A path traversal vulnerability was identified in Samba when processing client pipe names connecting to Unix domain sockets within a private directory. Samba typically uses this mechanism to connect SMB clients to remote procedure call (RPC) services like SAMR LSA or SPOOLSS, which Samba initiates on demand. However, due to inadequate sanitization of incoming client pipe names, allowing a client to send a pipe name containing Unix directory traversal characters (../). This could result in SMB clients connecting as root to Unix domain sockets outside the private directory. If an attacker or client managed to send a pipe name resolving to an external service using an existing Unix domain socket, it could potentially lead to unauthorized access to the service and consequential adverse events, including compromise or service crashes. | |||||
| CVE-2023-3899 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 20 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 17 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A vulnerability was found in subscription-manager that allows local privilege escalation due to inadequate authorization. The D-Bus interface com.redhat.RHSM1 exposes a significant number of methods to all users that could change the state of the registration. By using the com.redhat.RHSM1.Config.SetAll() method, a low-privileged local user could tamper with the state of the registration, by unregistering the system or by changing the current entitlements. This flaw allows an attacker to set arbitrary configuration directives for /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf, which can be abused to cause a local privilege escalation to an unconfined root. | |||||
| CVE-2023-38201 | 3 Fedoraproject, Keylime, Redhat | 9 Fedora, Keylime, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in the Keylime registrar that could allow a bypass of the challenge-response protocol during agent registration. This issue may allow an attacker to impersonate an agent and hide the true status of a monitored machine if the fake agent is added to the verifier list by a legitimate user, resulting in a breach of the integrity of the registrar database. | |||||
